Offered Here: Van Halen 1978 Van Halen + Bugs Henderson Monday July 3 Matted Poster

Item Details: This rare, vintage Van Halen 1978 concert poster captures a legendary moment from the band's historic debut world tour at Austin's iconic Armadillo World Headquarters on Monday, July 3, 1978. Fresh off their massive Texxas Jam stadium performance the night before, this specific gig offered fans an incredibly rare opportunity to see the rising rock giants play a full headlining set, supported by the Bugs Henderson Group and Lynn Groom, during a year they spent mostly opening for Journey and Black Sabbath. Beautifully preserved behind a striking purple matte, the entire piece measures approximately 16 x 22 inches, making it an elite, display-ready artifact commemorating the precise moment Van Halen took over the rock-and-roll landscape.

Van Halen's self-titled debut album, released by Warner Bros. in 1978 and produced by Ted Templeman, introduced a Pasadena band whose high-energy sound and showmanship helped redefine hard rock at the end of the 1970s. Eddie Van Halen's guitar work, particularly the two-handed tapping showcased on "Eruption," influenced a generation of rock and metal guitarists, while David Lee Roth's flamboyant stage presence became a template for arena rock frontmen. The album has since been certified Diamond by the RIAA for sales of more than ten million copies in the United States, and it remains one of the most successful debut albums in rock history.

Condition: Very good. Poster is matted in between matte boards.
