Specific contents include over 310 3.5 x 5 photos, 101 4 x 6 photos, and select images from significant events like the 1998 Appleton, WI show. It also features a CDR with 22 digital images from 2004.
Additional Information: Emerging from the vibrant San Francisco music scene of the 1970s, The Tubes became known for their theatrical live performances and satirical rock music. In the 1980s, their hit single "She's a Beauty" catapulted them into mainstream success. Fee Waybill, the band’s dynamic frontman, often donned extravagant costumes, including the character Quay Lewd. The collection captures the evolution of the band over decades, highlighting key performances and behind-the-scenes moments.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Fee Waybill, legendary front man and lead singer of iconic rock band The Tubes. It was selected from a vast collection of mementos and memorabilia, and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Fee Waybill.
Condition: The photos are in varying conditions, mostly ranging from good to very good, with many in pristine form. The framed live photo measures 9.5 x 13.5 inches and there is a mounted live photo of Quay Lewd at 9.5 x 11.7 inches. The archive includes a wide variety of formats and finishes, showcasing the historic breadth of the collection.
