Measuring 12 1/4 x 21 1/2 inches, the poster showcases the bold design typical of late-70s tour promotions, reflective of The Tubes’ theatrical and satirical stage presence.

Additional Information: During the late 1970s, The Tubes were renowned for their elaborate live performances, combining rock music with theatrical stage shows. The band, formed in San Francisco, emerged during this era as a significant influence on the genre with their unique blend of glam, punk, and rock parody. Their 1978 performance at the Cal Poly Main Gym was part of an extensive West Coast tour, marking a high point in their career known for its dramatic displays and satirical commentary on pop culture.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Fee Waybill, legendary front man and lead singer of iconic rock band The Tubes. It was selected from a vast collection of mementos and memorabilia, and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Fee Waybill.

Condition: The poster is in very good condition, displaying typical signs of wear, aging, and storage. It has two heavy horizontal folds from being originally folded into thirds and exhibits light edge wear and minor surface creasing. Despite these marks, the paper is structurally sound and the graphics are crisp, making it an excellent candidate for display or professional framing.
