Offered Here: The Tubes 1975 U.C. Irvine Crawford Hall Concert Poster. This original concert poster advertises The Tubes' performance at UC Irvine’s Crawford Hall on December 14, 1975. Measuring approximately 17 1/2 x 22 1/2 inches, it hails from the year of their self-titled debut album and exemplifies the band during their pivotal mid-70s period. The poster is a testament to the high-energy and theatrically charged shows they were known for at the time, particularly during the "White Punks on Dope" era.

Additional Information: The Tubes, formed in San Francisco, became known for their striking theatrical live performances, blending rock music with satire and multimedia stage shows. Their 1975 self-titled debut album contained "White Punks on Dope," which became one of their signature songs and illustrated their unique blend of punk rock and theatrical flair. The concert at UC Irvine was part of their early tours that helped cement their reputation in the rock scene.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Fee Waybill, legendary front man and lead singer of iconic rock band The Tubes. It was selected from a vast collection of mementos and memorabilia, and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Fee Waybill.

Condition: The poster is in VG- to good condition, exhibiting signs of wear typical of a promotional piece over 50 years old. These include corner and edge wear, paper discoloration, two spots with tape residue, a one-inch tear, and a small piece missing along the bottom edge. These flaws add character but do not significantly affect its visual appeal as a genuine piece of 1975 concert history.
