Offered Here: The Grateful Dead 1983-1986 Lot of 10 Unused Backstage Passes
Item Details: Keep the magic alive and the music playing with this spectacular lot of ten unused, original Grateful Dead backstage passes! Documenting the band’s vibrant mid-1980s era from 1983 through 1986, this fantastic ready-made collection serves up a rare, pristine look at life behind the curtain during some of their most legendary touring years. The passes remain in good condition, showing only a touch of completely natural and expected vintage aging from their decades in storage.
Formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1965, the Grateful Dead built their reputation on improvisational live performance, with setlists that changed nightly and songs that stretched into extended explorations blending rock, blues, folk, country and jazz. By the mid-1980s the band had become one of America's most consistent touring draws, sustained by a devoted community of fans known as Deadheads who followed the group from city to city and traded audience recordings that the band openly permitted. This era of steady touring laid the groundwork for the band's late-career commercial peak with the 1987 album In the Dark and its single "Touch of Grey," their only Top 10 hit.
Condition: Very good with common signs of age
