Offered Here: The Fugs, Ace of Cups & Allmen Joy 4/12/1968 Original Concert Poster. This first edition poster, measuring approximately 14” x 21 ¾”, announced a performance by the iconic countercultural band The Fugs, the pioneering all-female group Ace of Cups, and the early ensemble Allmen Joy, which included Duane and Gregg Allman before they formed the Allman Brothers Band in 1969. The poster was produced by Family Dog Productions, founded by the legendary Chet Helms. This vibrant piece of rock history created by Jaxon features a unique "Flip-Flop" design juxtaposing religious and military imagery to convey themes of good versus evil.

Additional Information: The Avalon Ballroom, where these performances took place, was one of the prime venues during San Francisco's rock revolution in the late 1960s. Family Dog Productions, under the management of Chet Helms, played a pivotal role in the music scene, organizing memorable events that contributed to the cultural movement of that era. Jaxon’s distinctive art design embodied the psychedelic and political spirit of the time, helping to define the visual aesthetics of the 1960s counterculture alongside the era's explosive rock sound.

Condition: Fair. The poster is a single sheet and is the first and only printing, confirmed by Eric King’s Collector’s Guide (FD-114-OP-1, pg. 175). It exhibits wear consistent with its age and historical significance.
