Offered Here: Small Faces 1977-1978 Lot of 3 Reunion US/UK Pressing LPs. This collection includes three LPs chronicling the late 1970s reunion period of the Small Faces. It features a UK pressing of the 1977 album 'Playmates,' together with two variations of the 1978 follow-up '78 in the Shade,' including both a UK pressing and a US pressing with a promotional corner punch. This era marked the return of founding members Steve Marriott, Kenney Jones, and Ian McLagan on keyboards and encapsulates their final studio collaborations.

Additional Information: The Small Faces were an integral part of the Mod movement of the 1960s in the UK and underwent a well-documented reunion in the late 1970s. This reunion saw the release of two albums, 'Playmates' in 1977 and '78 in the Shade' in 1978, which bridged their iconic 60s sound with the evolving musical landscape of the late 1970s. The reunion albums aimed to reintegrate the soulful, jazzy essence they were known for with contemporary rock influences of that era.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: All three records in this collection are in extremely good condition, exhibiting minor signs of wear, aging, and storage. The vinyl surfaces maintain a strong luster with minimal handling marks, and the jackets are well preserved with light shelf wear.
