Offered Here: Ronnie Wood 1988 Original Pencil & Ink Ian McLagan Drawing. This is an original 8.5 x 11 inch drawing by Ronnie Wood, executed in pencil and blue marker on paper, depicting Ian McLagan. The artwork is personalized with the inscription, "Mac ‘WOT B’ April '88 IN LOOOO Ronnie," and it includes a pair of glasses illustrated in the corner with the phrase "4 Kim."
Additional Information: In 1988, Ronnie Wood, known primarily as a member of The Rolling Stones, was also recognized for his artistic talents, having held his first major art exhibition in the 1980s. Ian McLagan, the subject of this artwork, was a prominent keyboard player best known for his work with The Small Faces and The Faces, which connected him professionally to Wood when the latter joined The Faces in 1975. This period saw Wood's dual contribution to music and visual art.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The drawing is in very good condition, exhibiting some surface and edge wear along with age-related discoloration.
