Item Details: This lot presents an extraordinary piece of rock and roll history from one of the most definitive eras of KISS. Included are two original sketches of legendary music producer Eddie Kramer, hand-drawn by Gene Simmons using a red grease marker. These captivating historical artifacts were created in 1975 directly during the historic engineering sessions for the groundbreaking ALIVE! album, capturing an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the band's creative environment. Each piece comes custom-framed to an approximate size of 8 1/4 inches square, presenting a cohesive and visually striking gallery display.
Provenance / Authenticity: This lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Eddie Kramer himself, verifying that these unique drawings originate directly from his own esteemed personal collection.
Eddie Kramer built his reputation as an engineer and producer on landmark recordings with Jimi Hendrix, including Electric Ladyland, and with Led Zeppelin, before bringing his experience to KISS. His work on the 1975 double album Alive! gave the band its commercial breakthrough after three modestly selling studio records, and the album's live version of "Rock and Roll All Nite" became their first Top 40 single. Alive! also helped establish the double live album as a major commercial format for hard rock acts in the mid-1970s, and Kramer went on to produce several more KISS records, including Love Gun and Alive II.
Condition: Both framed drawings are in extremely good condition, demonstrating minimal signs of wear, aging, or storage. The original red grease marker illustrations remain bold and distinct, and the framing elements are tightly preserved, offering an investment-grade acquisition that is perfectly prepared for immediate archival display or museum exhibition.
