Offered Here: Ian McLagan Owned Lot of 3 Art & Photography Books. This collection includes three art and photography books from the personal library of Ian McLagan, the keyboardist for The Small Faces and Faces. The lot features "Linda McCartney: The Polaroid Diaries" (Taschen 2019), "Andy Warhol: Polaroids 1958-1987" (Taschen 2020), and "Postcards From the Boys" by Ringo Starr (Chronicle 2004). The latter contains a Christmas dedication from McLagan to his wife, Kim, and a charming inscription from their family pets, providing an intimate glimpse into McLagan’s personal life.
Additional Information: Linda McCartney was known for her evocative photography, capturing intimate moments behind the scenes of rock and roll, while Andy Warhol's use of Polaroids documented the cultural icons of his time, bridging art and pop culture. Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: All three books are in exceptionally good condition with tight bindings and vibrant covers. There is minimal wear, aging, or storage damage. The interior pages are pristine, and the handwritten inscriptions in the Ringo Starr volume are clear and well-preserved.
