Offered Here: Ian McLagan 1980 Bump in the Night LP Acetate. This lot features a second studio acetate for Ian McLagan's 1980 sophomore solo album, 'Bump in the Night', dated November 14, 1980. This acetate includes the final running order as it appears on the commercial Mercury Records release. The labels feature humorous handwritten notations by McLagan himself, correcting the misspelling of his surname. This personal touch offers a glimpse into the artist's personality and creative process.

Additional Information: Ian McLagan was an accomplished keyboard player best known for his work with The Small Faces and Faces. His 1980 album "Bump in the Night" was released during a period when McLagan was establishing his solo career, following his extensive collaborations with artists such as The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. The album reflects McLagan's evolving style and continued influence on the rock genre.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The acetate is in excellent condition, showing very little sign of wear, aging, or storage, and it retains a high level of its original studio luster. A small sliver of the material has chipped off the outer edge of the disc, which is purely cosmetic and does not affect the recorded material.
