The collection includes three rough mix reels from May 1979, offering insights into the album's development, and two master reels from November 1979, featuring the completed Side 1 and Side 2 of the album. These recordings reflect McLagan's distinctive style with his signature soulful Hammond organ and piano work.

Additional Information: Ian McLagan recorded "Troublemaker" with an impressive lineup of musicians, including members of the Rolling Stones and other renowned artists, marking it as a significant entry in his illustrious career. Released in 1979, the album came during a transformative period for rock music, and McLagan's contribution as a solo artist showcases his ability to blend the influences from his collaborations with The Small Faces and The Faces.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The two master reels are in very good condition, appearing well-preserved with careful handling. In contrast, the three rough mix reels display clear signs of age and poor storage conditions, including potential mold and liquid exposure to the outer boxes. These are sold as-is, and it is advisable to seek professional cleaning or restoration prior to any playback attempt.
