Offered Here: Ian McLagan 1975 Love Letter, Photos, & Embroidered Pouch. This lot features an original two-page love letter from Ian McLagan, renowned keyboardist for The Small Faces, Faces, and The Rolling Stones. The letter is postmarked October 13, 1975, written just one day after the Faces' final concert at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, and addressed to Kim Moon, his then-girlfriend and future wife. This archive comes with eight original Polaroid photographs placed in a separate envelope, all contained in a light blue fabric pouch with embroidered stitching.
Additional Information: Ian McLagan was a notable member of the Faces, formed in 1969, after Steve Marriott left The Small Faces and Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood joined, evolving the band into Faces. The Faces achieved great success in the early 1970s with hits like "Stay With Me" and were known for their energetic live performances. Following the band’s dissolution, Ian McLagan continued to perform and record, contributing significantly to the rock music scene of the era.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: All items are maintained in very good condition, demonstrating only the characteristic signs of age associated with genuine 1970s memorabilia. The light blue fabric envelope and embroidered stitching are intact, and the Polaroid photos exhibit no meaningful wear beyond natural aging.
