Offered Here: Gallagher, Marriott, Derringer & Trower: Their Lives and Music 2002 Book Autographed by Rick Derringer
Item Details: This listing highlights a phenomenal piece of guitar hero history with this autographed copy of the 2002 book Gallagher, Marriott, Derringer and Trower: Their Lives and Music by Dan Muise. This comprehensive biography dives deep into the legendary careers of four of the most influential guitarists in rock history. This specific copy has been personally signed on the front cover in striking gold marker by the legendary Rick Derringer, most famously known for his 1973 hit 'Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo'. It stands as a brilliant collectible for classic rock aficionados, bringing together an incredible written history with the personal stamp of one of its iconic subjects.
Rick Derringer first reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 as a teenager with the McCoys' 1965 hit "Hang On Sloopy," then became a key figure in the Winter brothers' circle, playing with Johnny Winter And, producing the Edgar Winter Group's They Only Come Out at Night, and later scoring a solo hit with "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo." His work as a guitarist and producer bridged 1960s garage pop and 1970s hard rock, and he went on to produce the early records of "Weird Al" Yankovic. Dan Muise's book places him alongside Rory Gallagher, Small Faces and Humble Pie frontman Steve Marriott, and former Procol Harum guitarist Robin Trower, a group of blues-rooted players whose recordings and relentless touring helped define the guitar-driven rock of their era.
Condition: The book is in particularly good condition, displaying only common signs of wear, ageing, and storage. The softcover binding is strong and tight, and the internal pages are clean and well-preserved. There is light scuffing and minor marks visible on the cover surfaces from storage, but this shelf wear does not interfere with the bold, bright clarity of the gold marker signature across the front.
