The hardcover book consists of 52 pages, featuring articles and interviews concerning McLagan and the Faces. The cover is elegantly finished with gold debossing, highlighting it as a singular artifact of the Faces' legacy.
Additional Information: The Faces were a British rock band formed in 1969 from the remaining members of the Small Faces after Steve Marriott left and was replaced by Rod Stewart and Ron Wood. By 1973, the band had released several successful albums and gained a reputation for their boisterous live performances. Ian McLagan, the keyboardist, was a central figure in the band's sound and contributed significantly to its energetic stage presence. This volume captures insights from this pivotal year in the band’s history, making it a valuable document for understanding their influence on rock music.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The book is in very good condition, showing authentic signs of wear, aging, and storage consistent with its history as a privately owned artifact from 1973. Minor rubbing is present on the spine and front cover, with slight bending at the top left corner. The back cover exhibits minor wear along the bottom edge. Despite these cosmetic signs of age, the overall integrity of this unique volume remains intact.
