Additional Information: The Faces, formed in 1969, were a British rock band known for their raw live performances and a distinctive blend of rock, blues, and soul. The 1970s were a significant period for the group, featuring renowned members such as Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood alongside Ian McLagan. At this time, the band released critically acclaimed albums and built a reputation as an electrifying live act. Polaroid photography gained popularity in the 1970s for its instant development and ability to capture spontaneous moments, making these photographs a unique reflection of the band's era.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The Polaroids are in very good condition considering their age but display signs consistent with historical photographs, including potential discoloration and wear from display. Some photos may feature pinholes, drawings, or inscriptions, adding character and context to the collection.
