Offered Here: Eagles 2011 Extremely Rare Shanghai & Beijing Backstage Credentials
Item Details: A foundational piece of modern rock history, this lot features two extremely rare backstage credentials from the Eagles' historic, first-ever concerts in mainland China during their 2011 Long Road Out of Eden Tour. This ultimate collector's pairing includes a laminated Artist and Staff Crew pass from the March 9, 2011 performance at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, alongside a matching backstage credential from the March 12, 2011 show at the Wukesong Arena (MasterCard Center) in Beijing. Both passes are preserved in very good, road-used condition, bearing the authentic patina of one of the era's most exclusive rock tours. Because the legendary band only ever toured China this single time, these artifacts represent a virtually unobtainable crossover of Western rock royalty and Eastern musical history, making them an essential acquisition for the serious Eagles completist.
The Eagles, formed in Los Angeles in 1971, helped define the country-rock sound of the 1970s, and their compilation Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) ranks among the best-selling albums in American history, alongside the lasting influence of Hotel California. After splitting in 1980, the band reunited in 1994, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, and in 2007 released Long Road Out of Eden, their first studio album of new material since The Long Run in 1979, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The world tour supporting that album brought the band to mainland China for the first time in 2011, extending the reach of one of rock's most commercially successful groups to audiences there.
