Offered Here: Van Halen 1985-1988 Sammy Hagar Signed 8x10 Photo With Edward Van Halen & Zeke Clark With COA
Item Details: Turn up the volume on your rock memorabilia collection with this incredible piece of Van Halen history! This 1980s 8x10 color photo features the Red Rocker himself, Sammy Hagar, and legendary guitar tech Zeke Clark hanging out backstage with the late, great Edward Van Halen. Even better, this awesome snapshot is autographed by both Sammy Hagar and Zeke Clark, and it comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity for total peace of mind. It spent some time looking rock-star chic in a frame, so it shows just a little bit of minor, vintage discoloration around the edges, but it remains in very good overall condition and is completely ready to be the new centerpiece of your music room.
Provenance/Authenticity: Randall "Zeke" Clark is a renowned luthier and legendary guitar/amp technician who got his start in the San Francisco music scene in the 70s, working with various A-list artists until moving to LA in the 80s, where he worked for Eddie Van Halen.
From 1985 to 1993, he served as Edward Van Halen’s lead guitar and amp tech, transitioning to the crew with Sammy Hagar to maintain the band's gear through the monumental 5150, OU812, and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge eras.
Beyond his historic tenure as the custodian of Eddie's tone, Clark's elite five-decade career includes building, repairing, and maintaining specialized gear for iconic artists such as Prince, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Heart, Poison, and others. This curated selection of items offers collectors a unique and direct connection to rock history through the hands of a master craftsman who shaped the sound of guitar royalty.
This item was personally handled, vetted, and released by Zeke Clark, ensuring its authenticity and rock-history provenance. Zeke Clark utilizes an Official Personal Signature Stamp to validate and inventory documents and artifacts released directly from his private estate. This item comes with his personal ink-imprinted signature stamp on the certificate of authenticity, which serves as his legally binding, authorized mark of verification and carries the full weight of a hand-signed signature.
Sammy Hagar joined Van Halen in 1985 following David Lee Roth's departure, a lineup change that pushed the band toward a more melodic, keyboard-inflected sound while keeping Edward Van Halen's guitar work at its center. The band's first album with Hagar, 5150 (1986), became its first to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and OU812 (1988) repeated the feat, beginning a run of four consecutive chart-topping studio albums during the Hagar years. Edward Van Halen, whose two-handed tapping technique and custom-built guitars reshaped rock guitar playing after the band's 1978 debut, remained one of the most influential instrumentalists of the era throughout this period.
Condition: Good with mild edge wear from being previously framed.
