Offered Here: U2 1985-2005 Lot of 4 Offical Tour Programs
Item Details: Up for auction is a premium rock milestone featuring this U2 1985-2005 Lot of 4 Official Tour Programs. This collection traces the stadium evolution of Ireland's finest musical exports, offering an excellent opportunity to own a piece of alternative rock history. The lot launches with the 1985 The Unforgettable Fire tour program, showcasing the band as they began conquering global arenas with their atmospheric new sound. Next are two distinct official tour programs from the legendary 1987 Joshua Tree Tour, capturing U2 at the absolute peak of their critical and commercial superpower era. Rounding out this stellar lineup is a glossy 2005 Vertigo tour program, documenting their massive, high-tech millennium stadium runs. All four programs survive in very good condition with only minimal signs of handling.
Formed in Dublin in 1976, U2 grew from a post-punk band into one of the most commercially successful acts in rock, and their work with producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois on The Unforgettable Fire (1984) introduced the more atmospheric sound that would define their mature style. The Joshua Tree (1987) reached number one in both the United States and the United Kingdom and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, establishing the group as a major stadium attraction. In 2005 U2 were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, the album behind the Vertigo Tour, went on to win the Grammy for Album of the Year.
