Offered Here: The Who 1993-2017 Lot of 3 Official Tour Programs
Item Details: Up for auction is an incredible piece of rock history featuring The Who 1993-2017 Lot of 3 Official Tour Programs. This essential collection spans nearly three decades of the legendary rock band's enduring legacy, making it an absolute must-have for any serious collector or devotee of British invasion royalty. The lot features three beautifully printed official tour documents, starting with the rare 1993 Tommy Broadway play program that celebrated the band's iconic rock opera transition to the stage. Also included is the massive The Who Hits 50 commemorative program from their celebrated 2015 anniversary tour, alongside the vibrant The Who North America / South America 2017 tour program documenting their explosive late-career stadium runs. All three coveted programs survive in overall good condition, presenting clean pages and sharp graphics, with minor edge wear and corner bumps consistent with authentic, handled rock memorabilia.
The Who emerged from London in the mid-1960s and, through Pete Townshend's songwriting, Roger Daltrey's vocals, John Entwistle's bass and Keith Moon's drumming, helped define hard rock and the concept-driven album, with the 1969 rock opera Tommy among their most influential works. Tommy's adaptation for Broadway in 1993, which earned Townshend a Tony Award for Best Original Score, marked one of the first times a rock album was successfully reworked as a major stage musical. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, the band continued to tour for decades with Daltrey and Townshend at its core, including The Who Hits 50 tour marking their half-century as a band.
