Offered Here: The Tubes 1975 Handwritten and Copied Lyrics. This collection captures early materials documenting The Tubes' formative years in 1975. It includes five pages of original handwritten lyrics and two plain-paper faxed lyric pages. Featured songs are "Never Amount To Nothing" (written on the back of a vintage "Beans" flyer), "Hermuta Bermuda," "Wiz Quiz," "Hip Dip," and "Brighter Day." The copied fax pages present alternate handwritten versions of "Never Amount To Nothing" and "Hermuta Bermuda." Each page reflects authentic signs of age, storage, and use, including frayed edges from notebook extraction, folds, corner bends, and heavy edge wear.

Additional Information: The Tubes formed in 1972 in San Francisco and gained popularity for their theatrical live performances and satirical lyrics. By 1975, the band had solidified their presence in the rock scene with their unique blend of rock, theater, and dance. Their debut album, released in 1975, included hits like "White Punks on Dope," establishing the band's signature sound that would influence their future work.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Fee Waybill, legendary front man and lead singer of iconic rock band The Tubes. It was selected from a vast collection of mementos and memorabilia, and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Fee Waybill.

Condition: The pages are in good to very good condition with evidence of their historic use. They show frayed notebook tear edges, folds, corner bends, and noticeable edge wear.
