Offered Here: The Rolling Stones 1968-1983 Lot of 8 LPs. This auction consists of an exceptional eight-piece collection of Rolling Stones LPs, spanning the years 1968 to 1983. Originating from the personal archive of Ian McLagan, notable keyboardist who performed and toured with the Rolling Stones, the collection includes UK pressings on the Decca label, featuring a rare mono copy of "Beggars Banquet" (1968), "Let It Bleed" (1969), and "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!" (1970). Also included are "Exile on Main Street" (1972), the UK Decca compilation "Metamorphosis" (1975), and three US pressings: "Love You Live" (1977), a promotional stamped "Still Life" (1982), and "Undercover" (1983).

Additional Information: The Rolling Stones had a prolific period from 1968 to 1983, marked by significant musical exploration and innovation. "Beggars Banquet" introduced a return to roots rock, while "Let It Bleed" and "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!" further solidified their iconic sound. "Exile on Main Street" is often deemed one of their finest works, noted for its raw energy and eclectic influences. The albums compiled in this lot capture this transformative period, highlighting the Stones' dynamic evolution in rock music.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The records are mostly in very good condition, having been consistently cared for, ensuring a high quality for playback. The jackets are in varied condition, ranging from good to very good, showing typical signs of wear, aging, and storage associated with a working musician's personal collection. These attributes denote the albums' history while the discs themselves remain well-preserved.
