Comprised of three high-quality vinyl records, this authorized version highlights the heavy blues rock sound typical of The New Barbarians, a band led by Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards. Before this release, recordings of the performance were often circulated as bootlegs. The set features contributions from Ian McLagan on keyboards, alongside Bobby Keys and Stanley Clarke, adding to the group's brief but impactful legacy.
Additional Information: The New Barbarians were an English rock band formed by Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, primarily for a short U.S. tour in 1979. The band's May 5th performance at the Capital Centre was part of this unique tour, showcasing their rich blend of rock and blues influences during a period when live blues rock music was nearing a resurgence in the late 1970s.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The items are in very good condition with usual signs of wear, aging, and storage. The vinyl surfaces may display light handling marks typical for records of this vintage, while the outer box set packaging shows standard shelf wear. All components have been preserved well, making them suitable for any serious collection.
