Offered Here: The Levi-Set 1965 Rare Handbill Autographed by 3 Members of Small Faces. A very rare handbill from November 16, 1965, showcasing the performance of The Levi-Set at the Mid Autumn Dance at the College of Art Stafford. The reverse side of the card displays signatures from three members of the Small Faces: Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane (with the nickname "Plonk"), and Steve Marriott. The handbill is preserved with typical signs of age.
Additional Information: The Levi-Set was a garage rock band active in the mid-1960s. The Small Faces, including McLagan, Lane, and Marriott, were key figures in the Mod scene of the 1960s in Britain. During the time of this concert, they were gaining prominence with early hits like "Whatcha Gonna Do About It." Their unique sound and influential style led them to become a major act of the decade.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The handbill is in very good condition with common signs of aging typical of paper items from this era, indicating its authenticity and historical value.
