Additional Information: "The Beatles' Second Album" was released in the wake of Beatlemania sweeping across the United States, consolidating their iconic status with tracks dominated by rock and roll. "Magical Mystery Tour," released in 1967, includes experimental sounds and was part of a film project, while "The White Album" (1968) showcases the band's diverse musical styles within a double LP format. "Abbey Road" (1969) is noted for its innovative recording techniques and features the famous album cover of the band crossing the street. The "Anthology 2" promotional LP from 1996 coincided with a comprehensive multimedia project that included video documentaries and previously unreleased tracks.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The vinyl records are in very good condition, ensuring consistent quality of sound. The "Anthology 2" promotional LP is in exceptionally good condition with minor wear. The vintage jackets exhibit signs of heavier wear, aging, and storage typical for original U.S. pressings, reflecting the collection's history while maintaining the discs' preservation for listening enjoyment.
