From 1985 to 1993, he served as Edward Van Halen’s lead guitar and amp tech, transitioning to the crew with Sammy Hagar to maintain the band's gear through the monumental 5150, OU812, and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge eras.
Beyond his historic tenure as the custodian of Eddie's tone, Clark's elite five-decade career includes building, repairing, and maintaining specialized gear for iconic artists such as Prince, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Heart, Poison, and others. This curated selection of items offers collectors a unique and direct connection to rock history through the hands of a master craftsman who shaped the sound of guitar royalty.

Tesla formed in Sacramento, California, in the mid-1980s and took its name and several album and song themes from inventor Nikola Tesla, setting itself apart from the glam-oriented hard rock of the era with a blues-rooted, working-class sound. Built around vocalist Jeff Keith, guitarists Frank Hannon and Tommy Skeoch, bassist Brian Wheat and drummer Troy Luccketta, the band earned multi-platinum success with albums such as Mechanical Resonance and The Great Radio Controversy, and charted with songs including "Love Song" and "Signs." Their 1990 live album Five Man Acoustical Jam is widely regarded as an early example of the stripped-down, unplugged approach that became popular across rock in the following years, and the band's reunion in the early 2000s extended its career well beyond the hair-metal era it is often grouped with.
