From the rare 1967 German release "Musik Fur Alle" on the Decca label to a comprehensive 1985 double LP set from the UK’s Castle Communications label, this collection is a trove of US, UK, and Spanish issues, primarily from the early 1980s, representing the band's global discography.
Additional Information: The Small Faces, formed in 1965, were pioneers in what became known as the "mod" sound. Their influence extended well into the late 1980s, with numerous compilations and reissues internationally. Ian McLagan, a key member, contributed significantly to their style and sound. Notable compilations from this era, especially those included in this lot, highlight both the band's enduring popularity and their international reach.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The collection's condition ranges from good to very good plus. While serving as working copies from Ian McLagan himself, the LPs exhibit common signs of wear, aging, and storage. Sleeves show typical shelf wear and handling marks, and vinyl surfaces demonstrate varying conditions across the nine LPs.
