Offered Here: Ron Wood 1974 I've Got My Own Album to Do US Acetate & Ian McLagan's Personal UK Copy LP. This unique pairing includes a double-sided acetate cut on August 9, 1974, at Kendun Recorders in California, featuring a typed label and handwritten track list on the cover. It represents the final stages of Ron Wood’s debut solo album before its release. Accompanying the acetate is Ian McLagan’s personal UK pressing of the finished album. As McLagan was the primary keyboardist on the album and a bandmate of Wood in both the Faces and the Rolling Stones, the personal nature of this copy adds to its provenance. The album features notable collaborators such as Keith Richards and Mick Jagger.

Additional Information: "I've Got My Own Album to Do" was released in September 1974 and marked Ron Wood’s debut as a solo artist, quickly receiving praise for its raw and energetic rock sound. The recording sessions saw contributions from numerous members of the Rolling Stones and Faces, and it played a pivotal role in shaping Wood's transition from Faces to the Rolling Stones later that year. Kendun Recorders, noted for its high-quality mastering, was a key studio during this era for many prominent musicians.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: Both items are in remarkable condition for their age and rarity. The acetate cover displays typical signs of wear, aging, and handling expected from a working studio disc from the mid-seventies. Ian McLagan's personal UK LP is in very good condition, showing standard signs of wear, aging, and storage, while the vinyl and jacket remain intact. This lot provides a noteworthy opportunity to own both a Kendun Recorders Acetate and a verified piece from a musician’s private collection.
