Offered Here: Rock-A-Bye Babal & Two Fairly Tales by Stanley Unwin 1966 Signed & Dedicated to Mac. This listing features a 1966 edition of the book, containing a personal signature and dedication from Stanley Unwin to Ian McLagan. Unwin's inscription is written in his whimsical Unwinese style: "To Mac, Tritty how the keys, orgold and assisting produce. From Stanley with chunklodes". This connection is noteworthy because Unwin narrated side two of the Small Faces' 1968 album, Ogden's Nut Gone Flake.

Additional Information: Stanley Unwin was a British comedian and actor, known for his unique "Unwinese" language, which he used to create humorous gobbledygook. His work with the Small Faces on the 1968 album Ogden's Nut Gone Flake contributed to its narrative style and artistic success. The album is considered a landmark in the psychedelic genre and it spent several weeks at number one in the UK charts.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The book is in very good condition with visible signs of use consistent with age. There is wear to the cover, spine, and edges, but internally, the pages are well-preserved. The hand-written dedication remains clear and is a testament to the creative bond between Stanley Unwin and Ian McLagan.
