Prince's self-titled second album, released by Warner Bros. in 1979, was his commercial breakthrough, producing the single "I Wanna Be Your Lover," which reached No. 1 on Billboard's R&B singles chart and gave him his first major pop hit. As on his debut, Prince wrote, arranged, produced and played nearly every instrument himself, showing the multi-instrumental self-sufficiency and fusion of funk, R&B, rock and new wave that would define the Minneapolis sound. The album also introduced "I Feel for You," which later became a major hit for Chaka Khan in 1984, an early sign of Prince's influence as a songwriter for other artists.
Condition: Very good with mild wear to the album sleeve
