Offered Here: Keith Moon 1967 Lot of 2 Handwritten Letters from July. This lot comprises two handwritten letters by The Who’s drummer, Keith Moon, addressed to his wife, Kim Moon, during the band's 1967 inaugural American tour. The letters reference recording sessions at Talentmasters Recording Studio in New York City, where songs like "I Can See For Miles" and "Mary Anne with the Shaky Hand" were progressed. The personal nature of the letters gives insight into Moon’s thoughts on family, containing mentions of their daughter and expressions of love for Kim.

Additional Information: The Who's 1967 American tour marked a significant step for the band, during which they made waves with their dynamic performances and innovative recording techniques. The band’s session at Talentmasters Studio was instrumental in developing what would become the "The Who Sell Out" album, which included chart-topping singles pivotal in cementing the band's status in rock music.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. Condition: The letters are in very good condition, well-preserved for their age. They exhibit minor wear typical for handwritten documents from this era but remain legible and intact.
