Written shortly after their wedding, these documents provide an intimate glimpse into Moon's life on the road in Sweden and his deep affection for his bride. Delivered from the collection of keyboardist Ian McLagan, who later married Kim Moon, these artifacts reveal the personal side of one of rock’s legendary figures.
Additional Information: Keith Moon, known for his energetic drumming and wild persona, joined The Who in 1964. By June 1966, The Who was rapidly gaining fame following the release of their debut album "My Generation" and the success of their groundbreaking single of the same name. Moon's correspondence from this period coincides with the band's early tours of Europe, marking a significant era in both his career and personal life.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists.
