Offered Here: Keith Moon 1966 Lot of 12 Telegrams From February Through November. This collection includes 12 original U.K. Post Office telegrams sent by Keith Moon, renowned drummer of The Who, to his wife Kim Moon. Covering the early months of their marriage in 1966, most telegrams are from February, just before their wedding, with others from April and November. These documents display Moon's rapid communication style, featuring both practical and emotional messages. The telegrams originate from the personal estate of keyboardist Ian McLagan.

Additional Information: Keith Moon married Kim Kerrigan in March 1966 at the age of 19. Moon was known for his wild behavior both on and off stage, contributing to The Who’s energetic live performances. The couple remained together for several years, part of which is chronicled through these telegrams which reflect the hectic schedule and lifestyle of a rock musician in the 1960s.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The telegrams range from good to very good condition, showing minor age-related wear but are well-preserved for being approximately 60 years old.
