Offered Here: Keith Moon 1965 Lot of 3 Handwritten Summer Love Letters From June To July. This lot features three handwritten letters by Keith Moon, the iconic drummer of The Who, penned in the summer of 1965 to his future wife, Kim Kerrigan. These letters are written on Moon's personal and family stationery, displaying his childhood home address on Chaplin Road in North London. The letters are dated to June and July 1965, with a third entry noting a temperature of 30°C (86°F). The content reflects Moon's affectionate expressions towards Kerrigan, using terms like "Dear," "Darling," and "Dearest."

Additional Information: The summer of 1965 was a significant period for The Who, as they were gaining momentum in the rock scene shortly after releasing their debut studio album, "My Generation," in December 1965. At this time, Keith Moon was already establishing himself as one of rock's most innovative and energetic drummers, contributing significantly to the band's distinct sound.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists.
