Offered Here: Johnny "B. Goode" Johnson 1989 Autographed Menu. The autograph of Johnnie "B. Goode" Johnson is featured in black ink on the back of half of a Lone Star Cafe Roadhouse menu. It is dated June 17, 1989. The menu is torn in half and shows some signs of wear, but the signature remains clear and intact.
Additional Information: Johnnie Johnson was a pioneering blues and rock and roll pianist and an influential collaborator with Chuck Berry. Widely considered one of the founding figures of rock and roll, Johnson's collaborations with Berry in the mid-20th century helped shape the sound of the genre. He was later inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 in recognition of his contributions to music.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The menu is torn in half with some stains visible. The autograph remains clear and is preserved on the back of the half menu piece.
