Offered Here: Ian McLagan 1965 - 2014 Wurlitzer 140 B Electric Piano With Flight Case. This historic 1960s Wurlitzer 140B electric piano was a constant in Ian McLagan’s rig during his time with the Small Faces. The instrument maintains its original factory beige/tan finish and is famously visible in the only known live footage of the band’s 1968 BBC appearance on "Colour Me Pop." It was a key element in the creation of the band's psychedelic album "Ogden's Nutgone Flake." The piano was also featured in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a premier exhibit item.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: This electric piano shows significant wear consistent with decades of professional road use; it has no legs and is sold in tour-worn, as-is vintage condition. The original yellow wheeled flight case is heavily road-worn, providing a visual record of its extensive history.
