Offered Here: Ian McLagan Estate 1982 - 2024 Eight Book Lot With Signed Editions & Family-Archived Copies. This collection includes music literature from the personal estate of Ian McLagan, keyboardist of Small Faces and Faces. The lot encompasses rare signed editions such as Uli Twelker and Roland Schmitt’s Happy Boys Happy! (1993), The Small Faces & Other Stories (2002), and Andrew Neill’s A Fortnight of Furore (1998). Iconic historical accounts like Terry Rawlings’ All Our Yesterdays (1982), Paolo Hewitt’s Small Faces: The Young Mod’s Forgotten Story (1995), and the Quite Naturally (1997) volume with McLagan’s introduction are also included. Recent 2024 releases, Andrew Darlington’s On Track: The Small Faces & The Faces and Sean Egan’s Long Agos and Worlds Apart, round out the lot.
Additional Information: Ian McLagan was a pivotal figure in the British rock scene, particularly known for his work with the Small Faces and Faces. The band Small Faces was formed in 1965 and became one of the UK’s most acclaimed mod groups. The Faces evolved from the Small Faces in 1969. McLagan contributed significantly to both bands' sounds and later collaborated with other iconic acts during the 1970s and 1980s. Despite his passing in 2014, his legacy is preserved through these literary works.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
