Offered Here: Ian McLagan 1965 - 2000s Pair Of Neumann KM254 Mics With Power Conditioners. This lot features two vintage Neumann KM254 microphones from the 1960s, each with rare sequential serial numbers, integral to the career of keyboardist Ian McLagan. These microphones were a constant in McLagan’s live setups across numerous global venues and performances. Included is a Peak Power Tube Microphone Power Supply, a Bronson++ TI-500 Step-Up/Step-Down Voltage Transformer, two microphone cables, all contained in a blue zippered nylon transport bag.
Additional Information: The Neumann KM254 microphones were prominent in studio and live settings for their high-performance capabilities and detailed audio reproduction, frequently used by professional musicians and audio engineers in the 1960s and 70s. Ian McLagan, a founding member of The Small Faces and later The Faces, was known for his dynamic stage presence and keyboard artistry and these microphones contributed to his signature sound throughout his career.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The Neumann KM254 microphones and accompanying equipment are in very good vintage condition, showing well-maintained integrity and functionality. The transport bag is included for convenience and protection during transport.
