Offered Here: Howlin' Wolf 1965 Autographed Card With Address and Photos. This 1965 Muleskinners card is signed by blues legend Howlin' Wolf in black ballpoint ink, complete with his personal phone number and address. The card originates from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ian "Mac" McLagan. It includes two 8 x 12-inch paper prints of Howlin' Wolf, with one featuring Muleskinners member McLagan in the back seat behind Wolf.
Additional Information: Howlin' Wolf, born Chester Arthur Burnett, was a significant figure in the Chicago blues scene, influencing numerous rock musicians. His 1964 UK tour with The Muleskinners helped bridge the gap between American blues and British rock, leaving a lasting cultural exchange and influence on bands from The Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists.
