Offered Here: Faces 2011 Faces, 1969-75 Genesis Publications Signed Deluxe Edition 69/1975 with Signed Ron Wood Print. This is a rare Deluxe Edition of the 2011 Genesis Publications volume, "Faces 1969-75," numbered 69 of a limited edition of 1975 copies. This 272-page large-format work is the official history of the band, featuring over 200 rare photographs and original text by the band members. The Deluxe Edition is bound in full purple goatskin suede with gold foil blocking and gilt page edges, housed in a handcrafted red cloth solander box, lined with original poster artwork from the 1971 album, "A Nod Is As Good As A Wink... to a Blind Horse." It includes a bookplate hand-signed by Kenney Jones, Ian McLagan, and Ronnie Wood, and a correspondingly numbered artist print individually signed by Ronnie Wood.
Additional Information: The Faces, an English rock band formed in 1969, became known for their energetic live performances and a series of popular albums during their active years until 1975. Notable members included Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood, who later joined The Rolling Stones. The album "A Nod Is As Good As A Wink... to a Blind Horse" (1971) is one of their most celebrated works, featuring the hit single "Stay with Me." The band's influence and contribution to rock music during the early 70s remain significant.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians, and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The condition of this Deluxe set is graded as extremely good, showing very little sign of wear, aging, or storage. The purple suede binding is well-preserved, maintaining its natural texture and vibrant color. The interior pages and the signed artist print are clean and crisp, and the red cloth solander box remains structurally sound with only negligible evidence of handling.
