Offered Here: Faces 1976 - 2023 Lot of Three Faces Books. This lot includes three significant volumes chronicling the history of The Faces, sourced directly from the personal estate of Ian McLagan. The collection's main feature is the 1976 edition of "Rod Stewart and the Faces" by Billy Pigeon, which displays signs of being well-read, indicative of personal use by McLagan. Accompanying this are two newer volumes: the 2016 updated edition of "Faces: Had Me a Real Good Time" by Andy Neill and the 2023 release "Tell Everyone: A People’s History of the Faces" by Richard Houghton, both in new condition.
Additional Information: The Faces, active from 1969 to 1975, was a major British rock band known for their raucous presence and influential sound. Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The 1976 edition shows expected signs of wear consistent with its age and use, while the 2016 and 2023 editions are in new condition. Overall, the books are in very good condition.
