Offered Here: Faces 1975 Handmade 1973 Tour Scrapbook. An original Faces handmade tour scrapbook produced in 1975, one of only four copies ever created. Commissioned by the band’s management group, Gaff Music, specifically for the individual band members, this particular volume belonged to keyboardist Ian McLagan. The 12 1/4 inch square scrapbook provides an intimate visual record of the 1973 tour supporting the 'Ooh La La' album, which famously served as the final outing for founding bassist Ronnie Lane. Within its pages are 60 stunning color photographs featuring a mix of high-energy performance shots and rare, candid behind-the-scenes moments. Further elevating its historical importance is the included original letter from Gaff Music management addressed to McLagan, which explicitly discusses the creation of these scrapbooks and confirms the extremely limited edition size. Given its direct band-member provenance and the inclusion of primary documentation, this is a quintessential acquisition for the serious collector of 1970s British rock heritage.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The scrapbook is in very good condition for a handmade item of this age, showing authentic signs of wear, aging, and storage. The edges and spine exhibit typical signs of use, and there is some warpage present to the internal pages. Additionally, some pages have pulled away from the staple binding. Despite these signs of its fifty-year history, the photographs remain a vivid and well-preserved chronicle of the band's peak, and the item remains a unique and structurally sound piece of memorabilia.
