Offered Here: Faces 1970 - 1975 Lot of 6 Test Pressing & Promotional 7"s. This lot includes six rare test pressing and promotional 7-inch singles from the Faces, highlighting their years between 1970 and 1975. The collection includes: 1970 Flying b/w Three Button Hand Me Down, WB 8005, U.K. advance promotional copy; 1970 Had Me A Real Good Time b/w Rear Wheel Skid, WB 8018, U.K. advance promotional copy; 1971 Maybe I'm Amazed b/w Oh Lord I'm Browned Off, 7483, U.S. promotional copy; 1973 Pool Hall Richard b/w I Wish It Would Rain, K 16341, U.K. promotional copy; 1974 You Can Make Me Dance, Sing Or Anything b/w As Long As You Tell Him, K 16494, U.K. test pressing; and 1974 You Can Make Me Dance, Sing Or Anything mono/stereo, WBS 8102, U.S. promotional copy. Each disc was used professionally for radio play or production review.

Additional Information: The Faces emerged from the ashes of the Small Faces in 1969, with key figures like Rod Stewart and Ron Wood leading the band alongside Ian McLagan. During their active years, they were known for their energetic performances and a number of successful singles, which helped them gain a significant following in both the UK and US. Their music from 1970 to 1975 showcases a blend of rock, blues, and soul, capturing the spirit of an era before the band members pursued other influential projects.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The records in this lot are in good condition, showing typical surface wear, aging, and storage marks expected of professional promotional copies and test pressings. These items were manufactured for industry use rather than retail, and their condition reflects their history as part of an active musical archive.
