Offered Here: Faces 1970 - 1974 Lot of 13 Assorted U.S. & European 7"s. This collection features 13 assorted 7-inch singles from the Faces, spanning their defining years between 1970 and 1974. The assembly includes a range of United States and European pressings, highlighting the band's iconic hits such as "Flying," "Had Me A Real Good Time," "Stay With Me," "Cindy Incidentally," "Pool Hall Richard," "Oh! No Not My Baby," and "You Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything," along with the NME flexi single featuring a medley of tracks from the "Ooh La La" album.
Additional Information: The Faces were formed from the remaining members of the Small Faces after Steve Marriott left to form Humble Pie. Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood joined the remaining members in 1969 to create the Faces. Between 1970 and 1974, the band released several albums and became known for their energetic live performances. Their song "Stay with Me" from the "A Nod Is As Good As a Wink... to a Blind Horse" album was one of their biggest hits, released in 1971.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: All 7-inch singles vary from very good to fair condition with common signs of wear, aging, and storage as they were part of a well-loved and enjoyed collection. The vinyl and sleeves show the honest patina of a library that was frequently played and appreciated. This lot offers an opportunity to acquire the core Faces discography in its original 7-inch format.
