Offered Here: The Faces 1969 - 1975 Lot of 24 Black & White 8 x 10 Photos. This collection consists of 24 black and white photographs capturing The Faces during the years 1969 to 1975. Most prints are sized 8 x 10 inches and depict the band in various settings, including on stage, backstage, in transit, and in candid moments.
Additional Information: The Faces were an English rock band formed in 1969 from the remaining members of Small Faces after Steve Marriott left to form Humble Pie. The band included Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood. They became known for their energetic live performances and a collaboration style that blurred the lines between rock, blues, and folk music. The timeframe of these photos covers the release of notable albums such as "Long Player" and "A Nod's as Good as a Wink... to a Blind Horse."
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The photographs are in very good condition, exhibiting common signs of aging, primarily minor discoloration on a few prints. Each photo maintains its original form, with the details remaining crisp and clear.
