This collection highlights two distinct eras of the legendary performer's illustrious career, making it an excellent addition for any dedicated fan or pop-rock memorabilia collector. The lot includes the highly sought-after 1982 North American Tour program, documenting his triumphant arena performances during a revitalizing decade of hit-making. Elton John emerged in the early 1970s as one of the most commercially successful performers in popular music, building a catalog of hits through his long-running songwriting partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin and pairing piano-driven songwriting with flamboyant stage showmanship. In the 1990s he expanded into musical theater, collaborating with lyricist Tim Rice on Disney's The Lion King and later on Aida, which opened on Broadway in 2000 and won the Tony Award for Best Original Score. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, he remains one of the few rock artists to achieve sustained success in both the recording industry and the Broadway stage.
