Offered Here: Stepping inside the legendary 5150 Studios during the peak of Van Halen’s historic Sammy Hagar era, one would have witnessed this exact, awe-inspiring rig in active service. This premier rock artifact pairs a vintage 1977 Marshall JMP Mk. 2 Master Model 100W Lead amplifier head (seriel no. 01981J) with a gorgeous 1986 Marshall speaker cabinet loaded with four 12-inch Celestion G-12T 75 speakers. Sourced on the road in non-working condition from local music shops during tour downtime, the head was meticulously revived and hot-rodded by Eddie's indelible lead guitar and amp tech, Randall "Zeke" Clark, alongside master modifier Jose Arredondo at Jose’s shop. Working in direct collaboration with Edward Van Halen to precisely dial in his mythical, coveted "brown sound," this rigorous developmental process earned the head an exclusive "Z5150" stamp on the rear chassis, proving it was officially greenlit by EVH for studio use. The ultimate hidden provenance is locked inside the 1986 cabinet, which was custom hand-wired, signed, and inscribed by Clark himself with the words, "Hand wired by Zeke Clark for EVH 1986." Presenting in very good condition with authentic character consistent with standard studio use, the head shows minor, honest cosmetic wear, including a slight separation of the original Tolex material on the right side of the front Marshall logo, mostly due to age. This serves as an incredibly rare opportunity to capture a direct piece of the sonic engine that powered the 5150, OU812, and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge eras under the stewardship of a master craftsman.

Provenance/Authenticity: Randall "Zeke" Clark is a renowned luthier and legendary guitar/amp technician who got his start in the San Francisco music scene in the 70s, working with various A-list artists until moving to LA in the 80s, where he worked for Eddie Van Halen. From 1985 to 1993, he served as Edward Van Halen’s lead guitar and amp tech, transitioning to the crew with Sammy Hagar to maintain the band's gear through the monumental 5150, OU812, and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge eras. Beyond his historic tenure as the custodian of Eddie's tone, Clark's elite five-decade career includes building, repairing, and maintaining specialized gear for iconic artists such as Prince, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Heart, Poison, and others. This curated selection of items offers collectors a unique and direct connection to rock history through the hands of a master craftsman who shaped the sound of guitar royalty.

This item was personally handled, vetted, and released by Zeke Clark, ensuring its authenticity and rock-history provenance. Zeke Clark utilizes an Official Personal Signature Stamp to validate and inventory documents and artifacts released directly from his private estate. This item comes with his personal ink-imprinted signature stamp on the certificate of authenticity, which serves as his legally binding, authorized mark of verification and carries the full weight of a hand-signed signature.

Condition: The amplifying equipment is in very good condition, reflecting its use in the studio environment. The amplifier head has minor cosmetic wear, including slight separation of the Tolex material on the right side of the Marshall logo, attributed to its age.
