Offered Here: Edward Van Halen 2002 Peavey EVH Wolfgang Translucent Gold 5150 Studio Played, Signed & Personalized Guitar With COA

Item Details: This stunning translucent gold—also known as amber—Peavey EVH Wolfgang guitar was studio played in 5150, signed, and personalized by the King of Rock Guitar himself, Edward Van Halen. Evoking true rock majesty, the instrument features an intimate inscription that reads, "Keep jamming, Dale. Have fun with it." Kept in excellent condition following its time on stage, this exceptional piece bears serial number 910277208 and comes equipped with dual humbuckers, tone and volume controls, a D-Tuna equipped Floyd Rose tremolo system, and its original hardshell case. Enhancing its incredible provenance, the instrument is accompanied by the original Peavey Guitar Final Inspection Checklist and the original 58-page operating guide, representing a rare opportunity to own an authentic, career-spanning artifact from one of modern music's greatest pioneers.

Provenance / Authenticity: Eddie Van Halen traded this guitar in 2002 in 5150 to the consignors husband. Eddie Van Halen wanted a guitar, which is why he traded this. This Peavy was Eddie's, housed & used in 5150, signed after the fact. Also comes with a Roger Epperson (REAL) Letter of Authenticity.

Edward Van Halen transformed rock guitar playing after Van Halen's 1978 debut, popularizing two-handed tapping through the instrumental "Eruption" and pairing technical innovation with a distinctive amplified tone he called the "brown sound." He was also a hands-on designer: after earlier signature models with Ernie Ball Music Man, he developed the Wolfgang with Peavey in the mid-1990s, naming it after his son and incorporating ideas such as his patented D-Tuna drop-D device for the Floyd Rose tremolo. His home studio, 5150, in Southern California, served as the band's creative base for much of its later work, and Van Halen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
