Offered Here: Eagles 1995 Hell Freezes Over Tour Upstaging Production Crew Sweatshirt
Item Details: Up for bids is a fantastic piece of behind-the-scenes rock history featuring this Eagles 1995 Hell Freezes Over Tour Upstaging production crew sweatshirt. This rare item was issued specifically to the crew from Upstaging, the premier theatrical lighting and transport company responsible for bringing the band's massive stadium production to life. Built on a dependable Fruit of the Loom blank and fitting a modern size Large, the sweatshirt features the distinct Upstaging company logo printed on the front, while the official Eagles tour information is boldly printed across the back, making it a highly collectible piece of technical tour history.
The Hell Freezes Over tour marked the reunion of the Eagles, who had disbanded acrimoniously in 1980, after which Don Henley famously remarked that the group would get back together "when hell freezes over." The band reconvened in 1994 with its Long Run-era lineup of Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Don Felder and Timothy B. Schmit, taping an MTV special and releasing the album Hell Freezes Over, which combined live recordings with four new studio songs and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The tour that followed ran into 1996 and stands as one of the most commercially successful reunions of the decade, reestablishing the Eagles as a major concert attraction for a new generation of listeners.
Condition: The sweatshirt is in very good condition and displays common signs of wear, ageing, and storage consistent with heavy use on a major world tour. The screen-printed graphics on both the front and back show some classic vintage cracking, which enhances its authentic crew-worn aesthetic. There are a few small stains on the front near the collar and surrounding the print area, along with a section of discoloration visible on the left sleeve, though the fabric itself remains structurally sound and comfortable.
