British folk trio 'Prelude' enjoyed great success in Western Europe between 1973 and 1976, when they released a total of five albums. Backed by a larger recording and touring budget from PYE Records, Prelude embarked upon a North-American tour in December of 1976.
Featured here is an exceptionally rare 7-inch recording reel, featuring the WMMR-FM radio recording of their December 19, 1976 show at 'The Main Point' in Philadelphia. The run-time clocks in at 67:25 minutes. The sound and quality of the tape, which is recorded at 7 1/2 IPS, is in excellent condition.
Also included is a rare 60-second radio spot for 'Owl Creek Incident' from 1975, exclusively recorded for broadcasting in the US. The spot is on a 5-inch reel, which too is recorded at 7 1/2 IPS and is in excellent condition. |
